Welsh Proms debut for NYOW.

It's the start of a busy summer for the young orchestra members: following a period of rehearsal, the orchestra tours to Bristol Cathedral on Tuesday 25th July, and then makes its debut at the Welsh Proms on Wednesday 26th July, performing Elgar's 2nd Symphony and Shostakovich's First Cello Concerto, with soloist Julian Lloyd Webber.

Another debut for the NYOW this year is an appearance at the Three Choirs Festival in Hereford on Thursday 10th August, performing Mahler's Symphony No 5 at Hereford Cathedral.

Owain Arwel Hughes is the Orchestra's Music Director and Conductor. Owain is one of Wales' most well known and popular conductors, who brings to the orchestra vast experience, enthusiasm and a strong audience following.

The summer tour continues through August with additional performances in St David's Cathedral and Prichard Jones Hall, Bangor.
